Unique Labour of Love
While leaving Khadur Sahib, Sri Guru Amar Das Ji used to walk backwards, keeping His face towards the Guru and never turned His back towards Him. There does not exist in spiritual history such an example of total devotion to Guru.
He did not physically turn His back to His beloved Sri Guru Angad Sahib, because His body, mind, heart, and soul were totally saturated with the all enveloping Divine Love of His Beloved Satguru. He was mentally and physically in eternal Sajada, perpetual homage at the Lotus Feet of His Beloved Lord Guru Angad. How could He, even for a moment, forget Him and turn His back towards His Lord. He performed a unique Sadhana with His soul totally saturated with ardent love for His Beloved Satguru.
Man Tan Sital Saach Sion Saas Na Birtha Koey
Such was the most wonderful blessed state of Guru-consciousness of Sri Guru Amar Das Ji.
As the Lord Himself dwells in such a body and mind which totally remains saturated with the nectarous Anand (bliss) of the Lord Satguru, such great divine examples and wondrous deeds are actually performed by the Lord Himself.
Nirankar Akaar Jot Jag Mandal Kario
The Formless God having assumed the Sacred Form of Sri Guru Amar Das Ji has illuminated the World.
Only the Divine can set such unique Divine examples and a unique Divine path to attain the Divine. Such Divine examples of Humility and Love of the Beloved Satguru surpass all Divine Excellences.
All Glory To The Great Guru Amar Das Ji
Only the Lord is competent enough for such a unique divine excellence and in the holy garb of Sri Guru Amar Das Ji, the Lord enacted such a wonderful Divine Play and Lila. Sri Guru Amar Das Ji revealed to us by His own life example as to how the divine virtues of utter humility, Guru service, Guru love, and Guru worship can ultimately mature and flower in the beauty and perfection of total bliss and illumination.
